These gentlemen started a company for selling adventure gear,partnership didn't last long but the company is still named after them only.Their company became the centre of the mahjong craze of the 1920's.These days we know them more for their jeans.

Talk about jeans and "Levi&Strauss" is the first name that comes - 2 gentlemen involved in there as well...but the mahjong and adventure gear link confirms that i'm in the wrong direction
